This man has a beautiful touch: selecting surprising and non-native grapes in Californian climates that tend not to be generous to said varietals, and making them a delight to drink every single time! This 2015 blend of 57% #Mourvèdre, 34% #Grenache and 9% #Cinsault under the #LePtitPaysan label is a balanced, exciting and fun #CentralCoast #Rosé to accompany just about everything. — 8 years ago
Hmmm....interesting wine, ABV 15.4 - seems really high, first nose was mildew & dishwater, paired nicely with Turkey Pot Pie, not so crazy as a sipping wine. #alban #viognier #centralcoast #california #wine — 9 years ago
I always like trying different blends and Paso Robles blend of primitivo, Syrah and Mourvèdre was certainly different. To me this is a chefs pantry. Lots of spices came to mind. Pepper, thyme and lightly smoked fennel. The fruits of the berries seemed washed though to me but you could still pick them out. This will not be one of those universal beloved wines but I did enjoy it. I would love to get with my chef friends and find a really good dish to go with this wine. If your adventurous try this one. #California #CentralCoast #PasoRobles #redblend #BrianBensonWinery — 7 years ago
Well, there it is: wine IN-A-CAN. I'm positive that multitude of wine people would jump in horror over this, but hey! why not?
If going for a picnic and you want to amuse your family, or maybe to shock your stiff friends at a grand-cru tasting 😜.
In any case this is an honest wine, new-worldly fruity, a tad alcoholic but nice. I'd serve it chilled maybe to avoid collapsing with the wall of alcohol, but again that's just me.

For bulk wine, good. Good enough to be the Chardonnay you have strapped by dumpsters in the alley outside of work, while others are on their cigarette break. I'd always gladly refer back to this Chard w/o to much worry about self-preservation.

Enticing #centralcoast white blend of #chardonnay and #pinotblanc. Deep golden yellow in the glass, golden pear skin, apricot, and honey notes on the nose. Despite the dark color the use of oak is very subtle. Svelte acid / fruit / alcohol balance on the palate and the wine shines more as it warms up. Some caramel notes. Sumptuous mouthfeel - this is a sturdy-bodied white. — 3 years ago
