By far the best one from their white range.
Aged partially in acacia barrels, this shows a lovely blend of ripe pears, a touch of underripe white peach, a fresh herby mineral note - quite round yet so clean & precise.
Quite some presence on the palate. Medium body, zingy mineral acidity, beautiful mineral depth. Almost as if a slight tannic bite. Great balance & purity, beautiful long finish.
Blind I would have taken this for a racy Pinot Blanc.

Haven’t had a Lagrein in quite some time.
This is typically dark both in colour & flavour with fresh, ripe blueberries & huckleberries, some dark plums and a healthy pinch of exotic spice - anise, allspice, cardamom, black pepper.
On the palate this is silky & plush yet with vibrant acidity and nice juicy tannins. Good weight & length, with the wood perfectly integrated & showing a nice backdrop to the ripe fruit.
A lovely wine. — 5 years ago

Abbazia di Novacella – Pinot Nero 2021
Alto Adige DOC – Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy 🇮🇹
Overview:
From one of Europe’s northernmost vineyards, this Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) reflects the cool-climate precision of Alto Adige. Crafted by Abbazia di Novacella, a historic monastery estate dating back to the 12th century.
Aromas & Flavors:
Fresh red berries lead the way, cranberry, wild strawberry, and a hint of red currant. Subtle herbal notes and a whisper of spice frame the fruit beautifully.
Mouthfeel:
Light-bodied, crisp, and refreshingly acidic, with silky tannins and a clean, vibrant finish. This is a bright, lifted expression of Pinot Nero, leaning on freshness rather than weight.
Food Pairings:
Perfect with grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, or lighter pasta dishes. It also shines alongside charcuterie and alpine cheeses.
Verdict:
A lively, refreshing Pinot Nero that captures Alto Adige’s alpine terroir with finesse. Elegant and approachable, with just enough complexity to keep each sip engaging. Cheers!
🍷 Personal Pick Highlight:
Enjoyable slightly cooled, this Pinot Nero doubles as a versatile red for warmer days, a wonderful alpine expression that drinks beautifully outside the usual Pinot Noir framework. — 8 months ago
Fresh citrus, well balanced and easy drinking. — 3 years ago
Really good classic orange wine from Italy. Very tangy. Could be funkier but also I had a cold when I drank it. A tad pricey. — 5 years ago

Rich aromas of black and almost dried fruits, light and tart on the palate with blackberries and tart black cherry acidity, earthy soft tannins, and a nice long finish. I don't usually like Italian reds and definitely don't drink a lot of Italian Pinot, but maybe I should. — 6 months ago
