had this years ago and i feel like they've made some great strides: Monastrell from Yecla can be flabby fruit bombs, but this is a legit wine, great old vine material, had some of the secondary aromas & flavors from southern France, some of that feral quality, some iodine, white pepper along with copious amounts of black & red fruit. polished & poised, smooth thru nice finish — 5 months ago

Cherries, raspberries and a hint of minty chocolate, high alcohol packed in minirality. Very pleasant — 2 months ago
This young Rioja is surprisingly very approachable.
Dark purple in color with a purple rim.
Full bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity.
Dry and fruit forward with nice complexity.
Showing black currants, plums, tobacco, licorice, light oak, spices, chocolates, coffee and peppercorn.
Medium minus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.
Tangy and good by itself or with food.
14% alcohol by volume.
