Still holding up. Smooth and delicious. — 3 years ago
A good brick red plenty of tannic strength holding it together — 3 years ago
This was stubbornly closed and unyielding. I think a lot of 2000 BDX are in the same “quiet” spot right now. The normal Palmer bouquet was very muted here that was far more pronounced in the 2004 I opened a few weeks ago. I think this is a sleeping giant though as there is a dense velvety tannin structure that sits heavy on the tongue. I’m holding off opening the the rest of my bottles for a few more years. I think this has 9.7+ potential... — 4 years ago
1971 vintage. Top shoulder fill. Used a Durand but fully saturated cork still required some clean up on aisle 7. Decanted and tasted after 5 minutes. Threw much much less sediment than expected. Decent color with a little browning. Tertiary nose gave way to similar flavors with it being very slightly brickish. In a holding steady phase where there is no shining light to chase after-everything is consolidated and filed away so you're tasting the interpretations of history. Instructive. 6.13.24. — 5 months ago
Happy New Year with tasting group. Showing its age but Holding together at 35+ years. — 3 years ago
The 2008 Dom Pérignon is a huge, powerful Champagne and also clearly one of the wines of the vintage. This is one of the most reticent bottles I have tasted. So much so that I am thinking about holding off opening any more bottles! The 2008 has always offered a striking interplay of fruit and structure. Today, the richness of the fruit is especially evident. Readers who own the 2008 should be thrilled, but patience is a must. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2021)

1982 vintage. Respectable fill and cork. Decanted and tasted after two hours. A bit prunish in the nose but that didn’t translate into the flavor profile. Medium body. Still lots of ripe fruit with a decent amount of acidity. Much better than anticipated. Holding strong. 3.5.24. — 9 months ago

Holding up well for a 13 year old PN. Drink now, it’s not going to get any better. — 3 months ago
