At first sip it was quite tannic but it smoothed out in the glass. Brought this one home from Florence Italy. Only made meatloaf but the dark chocolate for dessert was spot on with it — 9 years ago
Nice Italian red, fruit forward and dry. — 10 days ago
Really nice Refosco... almond, chocolate, cherry, earthy touches, this is a nice and welcoming nose. The palate is balanced, with a good acid drive, cherry and raspberry notes all along, some width, some very mild chocolatey touches, a bit of matter and a bit of tannic wall in the back end of the palate. The finish is surprisingly fresh, with good acid drive, some cherry, raspberry touches, a bit of a drying layer all over the finish. There is a tiny savoury note popping in the very end which makes this a cravable pour. I like that ! — 3 months ago
Lots going on right out of the gate . Your nose leads you to believe you entered a French bakery. Pears and baked apples linger in the background. The first taste weighs your tongue down but almost immediately flavors of citrus , spearmint and. baked bread jump around on a trampoline made of acidity. Don’t laugh, reminded me of the uniqueness of Vatan. — 4 years ago

Verdict
A versatile rosé that delivers freshness, balance, and flavor without trying too hard. Approachable, food-friendly, and perfect for warm afternoons or casual gatherings.
Did You Know?
Susumaniello was once valued mainly for producing high yields in Puglia, but today many producers intentionally reduce yields to craft wines with greater concentration and character. The grape has become one of southern Italy’s most exciting modern rediscoveries. 🍷 Personal Pick
When I’m looking to step outside the usual rosé regions, this is exactly the kind of bottle I enjoy opening. Susumaniello offers a fresh perspective on Italian rosé, delivering minerality, balance, and easygoing charm that make it both distinctive and effortlessly enjoyable. — 14 hours ago
