Easy to find on the market Rewe(Germany), really good wine and represents the spirit from the argentinian wines. — 3 months ago
I gave up on finding dry German Riesling in the States 20 years ago, and here I am at an Oktoberfest in Alameda and randomly sampling this “bone dry” Riesling - and surprise, it is actually dry. Fascinating!! And the importer is based in Carlsbad, so now I need to launch some serious research. Crisp, balanced, and yes, on the dry side. 😊 — 3 years ago
You know the wine is that good when, while sipping it from a red solo cup, it still stops you mid conversation to say, wow.
A blend of all 7 permitted champagne varieties (co-planted and co-fermented) and a mishmash of vintages (current + reserve wine from a dedicated solera dating back to 2005). The result is spectacular. This wine flawlessly blends freshness with concentration, lightness with depth. All the citrus (grapefruit, pomelo, lemon and lime zest), orange blossom and elderflower, green apple, lemongrass, chalk, honey, and maybe a hint of ginger.
This was the perfect bottle to pop to celebrate a good friend’s gorgeous new live/work space, a dream come to fruition after many years of planning, hard work and persistence. Cheers to Mo’s wine bar, coming to Alameda in 2022! — 3 years ago

A multiple tasting of global brown spirits, but dinner of enchiladas with locally sourced ingredients was perfectly paired to the ultimate of Green Chile vodka from none other than St. George's (Alameda, CA).
Happy 2022>2023 Delectable Family.
I was lucky enough to land one of the current COVID variants during my Holiday break, yet 'luck' is one word for the situation. Fortunately symptoms were mild but my palate is twisted, so hopefully 2023 brings a reset. — 2 years ago
Had this tonight here at Speisekammer in Alameda, CA
Perfect citrus fruit and lemon scent perfectly tender with sweet dry after kick. Subtle and substantial. — 5 years ago

100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 1 year in new French and American oak barrels, while I get the Barossa fruit feel, this also reminds, at this age, of 1980s Napa/Sonoma Cabs, close to mature, very well-balanced, complex, long, lingering finish, terrific Barossa Cabernet!! Purchased at Henschke in 1989 (my first and only visit) and shipped home via a now-defunct import/shipping company in Alameda, California (I also bought some 1986 Mt. Edelstone Shiraz and 1985 Hill of Grace Shiraz on that same trip!!) — 2 months ago
