A very fun wine! Step out of the box and do not think anything like "a California Cab".
This single vineyard Cabernet from Spain is smooth, presents a long finish, showcasing herbs and acidity more than fruit. James Suckling rated this at 91. Grapes from 40-60
Year old Vines, dark fruits on fore palate, medicinal, mushrooms, potpourri, herbs on midpalate following through the finish. I pick up a lot of milk chocolate on the nose but does not transcend to palate. — a year ago
Light, acidity.. — a month ago
Dark fruit, tobacco, mocha, tannic. Was in an end-cap display, hoping they still have some when I go back. — 7 months ago
Fairly mild for Tempranillo. Little tannins, not very fruit-forward, pleasant but nothing special. — a year ago
"Basque country overlaps with the Rioja appellation, and Diez-Caballero's 2014 Reserva embodies that unique culture's esthetic and gastronomic identity. Its aromatics leap from the glass in waves of blackberry and vanilla notes while dark cherry flavors and polished tannins extend through the satisfying finish" — 2 years ago
Different but delicious — 7 months ago
A discovery! Tastes this 2014 in 2023, a good way to find out if the wine has the real thing. And it did. A metallic hint, blood like, red fruit driven, sour cherries, rose petals, a Burgundian soul, unbelievable acidity, clean, the animal you get is not Brett. Loved it — a year ago

Fruity and not too dry. Was a great combination with chocolate. — 25 days ago
