Had a couple of these “Blue Boys” in my cellar. Mollydooker (Aussie for left-hander) Wines was established in 2005 by Sarah and Sparky Marquis. Dark Ruby with big dark berry fruit nose adding sweet spice and cedar. On the palate this wine has complex flavors of blackberry and blueberry with cacao, oak and vanilla. Fine dusty tight tannins, peasant mouthfeel, full-bodied, long ending with a nice spicy finish. Aging well, good now, has room to run. — 4 years ago
Good tasting Aussie Shiraz and Great deal for the price. — 5 years ago
Powerful yet elegant Aussie Shiraz. Dark ruby color. Aromas of raspberry, eucalyptus and cocoa. Palate is rich with plum and raspberry fruit along with notes of root beer, baking spices, black licorice and Earl Grey tea. Hint of vanilla on the long and lingering finish. The tannins are concentrated but well integrated. Plush, rich and intense but beautifully balanced. Aging nicely. — 9 months ago

Seductive nose of blueberry, cassis, cedar, dark roasted coffee bean,, nutmeg, peppery spice, touch of barnyard, and hint of tobacco. Probably the most harmonious palate I’ve had in an Aussie Shiraz. The oak and alcohol are totally integrated, with ample acidity and soft elegant tannins. Powerful and graceful.
What a surprise! — 4 years ago
Classic Aussie Bordeaux blend. Unmistakably New World with the deep dark fruit on the nose and the full bodied round opulent style on the palate. Not enough tannin or acid to balance the super-ripe fruit. — 2 years ago

Another Aussie stunner cutting through the mediocrity in the marketplace today. In our minds, this wine needs at least 4 years of bottle age to reveal its true colors, then look out.
Reminds us of a French GC with piercing focus, presence and linearity. Top shelf stuff. — 3 months ago
