Nog uit eigen kelder van de oude Hexagone Evan tijd! Fantastisch om te drinken nu heel zacht et beaucoup de longueur. Ooit zo‘n €30 voor betaald — 6 months ago
Very smooth and crisp. Would absolutely recommend. Not too sweet — 9 months ago
2019 vintage. Château La Fleur Cailleau, Canon-Fronsac. Bought in 1982 by Paul Barré (also Château La Garde, Fronsac) and managed these days by his son Gabriel and his wife Edith. Biodynamically farmed since 1990. Very impressive indeed, with an exemplary purity of fruit, ripe tannin and energetic acidity. Highly recommended. Abv. 14,5%. — 4 years ago
Solid nose of dark red fruits. Tannic yet silky and long finish. This is an excellent old-world merlot/cabernet blend with finesse. It can stand on its own, or be enjoyed with food as it is a little on the acidic side. — 4 years ago
One small ice cube to get you there;)
This is a family favorite and a bottle from our Napa 2015 trip. — 6 years ago
Just a grocery store wine but I really enjoy the refreshing taste of it, especially with grilled oysters! My friend spent a few days with me who I met in the Navy while in Japan back in the 80’s. Of course friends always cook good food and drink delicious wine while together! — 5 months ago
Medium deep lemon , old gold colour , slightly hazy appearance. Intense on the nose with iodine , sea breeze , green apple and Indian spices . On the palate this also shows a lot of intensity and grip , really quite young apparently . Green apple , toasted almonds , orange rind , curry and a strong seaside component . Long and complex on the finish with , really fresh saline tinged acidity . This is seems pretty young and I would imagine can still go another decade or longer. — 9 months ago
Pale fruit, crisp finish, not too sweet and easily to drink by itself or with a fish. — 4 years ago
Before the storm! Apremont Jacquere planted in 1956, destroyed in 2019 by hail. Orchard fresh fruit salad. Stony pallet and pineapple acidity. There is a creamy character, nice little background to the fruit and mineral. Does need some air to disparate some ‘natural odors’ but I find those easy to get past. — 5 years ago
Picked up a split of this because all my .375 empties got accidentally thrown out (I use them to store unfinished bottles in the fridge). So I was mostly after the bottle itself but what’s inside happens to be superb—lime, apple and floral notes with fine but not hard edged limestone mineral character, softened perhaps by the clay component of the terroir. I Sancerre-ly enjoyed it! — 6 years ago

Big, beautiful, velvet, bakers chocolate, espresso, dark fruit. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Lovely Roussanne. Well integrated oak. Lovely with Fondue Montagnarde in Bistrot des Alpes. — 4 months ago
This is equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, but my nose keeps telling me it's Syrah. Heat and spice on the nose. Muted dark fruit flavors, blackberry, raisin, figs followed by powerfully bitter tea leaves, red apple skins, and stone. A lingering tannic finish. It's good, but should have been decanted and paired with food, not sipped before bed. Try again tomorrow.

Tiny bit sparkly and almost sweet but not quite. Tannin is present. Well-matured fruity scent. Good light-bodied chardonnay. It’s unoaked. — 4 years ago
Surprising Gamay with a classic and classy style, evoking Burgundy by its light side as much as the northern Cote-du-Rhône by its density. The aging in oak barrels is admirable for the way it supports the fruit without masking it. A beautiful bottle with an aging potential of at least 10 years.
