Dark in color. Super fruity on the nose. Blackberry and plumb notes. Peppery, leathery, earthy finish. — 20 days ago
Pleasantly surprised by a relatively restrained oak aged Zin with plenty of interesting notes. — 2 months ago
Exceptional Zin! Huge raspberry and vanilla with a spicy finish. Round and full in the mouth with a super nice lingering finish. Going back for a case. — 3 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2006 Juliet pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated dark fruits: cassis, blackberries, plums, tobacco, leather, mixed dead flowers, old wood, organic earth and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin (integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with an attractive, plush texture. This is in a really good spot and fully mature. Drink now through 2031. — 22 days ago
Very complex lots of flavors on the tounge — a month ago
Auction wine. Broken cork. Again. Wine was at base of the neck. I think cakebread got a batch of bad corks. No wine into the cork and they all broke right at the end. Not sure how it affected the wine but it’s been a consistent issue
Wine exhibited some decent fruit but no real depth or grip. Very smooth and medium body but missing some power and complexity expected from this site.

Just classic Zinfandel, while this contains fruit from various Zinfandel vineyards, I get Dry Creek raspberry notes up front, so excellent!! — 5 days ago
