Crazy restaurant wine list value @ $190, I think.
Modest decant. Dark red color. Nose contains blackberries, olives, and anise. Unique on the palate as it’s a mix of Napa Cab, CDP, and Rioja. Medium plus depth with big tannins, a silky texture, and high alcohol present. — a year ago
1994 vintage. Nice fill with a slightly shrunken and fully saturated cork. Durand helped plenty in the opening assist. Not decanted and tasted after 1.25 hours open. Hadn’t tasted since the early 2000’s. Definitely dropped all the baby fat. Toffee, coffee and chocolate covered cherries in the nose. Light medium body (thought it would be a touch bigger). Still plenty of focus but slightly less grip than desired. Can it match biggie shizz like Montelena, Dunn, Diamond Creek, BV GDL Reserve, Mondavi Reserve, Araujo, Peter Michael Les Pavots, Mayacamas, etc? No. Is it really really nice? Absolutely. Can hold another 5-6 years at this juncture before boarding the downhill bell curve train. 11.8.24. — 2 years ago
Lazy weekend with my family, and this product has never fallen short.
A beautiful, zippy/zesty, exotic rendition of SB, displaying white fleshed tropical fruits, a beautiful acid structure and moderate sweetness. I can’t remember what I paid for it, but it was worth every cent. — 10 months ago

Wheeler Farms was designed and built after Bart & Daphne Araujo sold Araujo to Chateau Latour. They spared no expense building their facilities and make 11 other labels there, including TOR.
This 17 Rosé is their first vintage and is a red blend.
Soft beautiful fruits, lean, watermelon, cherries, raspberries strawberries, peach, light beautiful minerality & spring flowers and pink roses. Beautiful acidity & finish. Nicely done.
Photos of, the small bites prepared for our tasting, their awesome gardens and their reception and tasting room. — 8 years ago

16’ Wheeler Farms Sauvignon Blanc. Give it about 10 minutes to warm up in the glass.
Small amount of tropical fruits, predominately stone-citrusy fruits, with the right amount of acid. Love it! “Araujo Family”- making this beautiful SB! Working with some sushi👍 — 9 years ago
1 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). A splendid deep ruby red color with some bricking. On the nose: Enticing perfumed notes of dark red fruit, worn leather, herbaceous, floral, mint, stewed meat. Taste: silky, layered with depth and length wine.... opulent red fruit, cassis, damp earth, new leather, green bell pepper, and a long finish with beautifully resolved tannins. YUM! — a year ago

old soccer bag and pink starburst. phenomenal — a year ago
An American Can classic. Nicely done. Deep purple colour. Hints of chocolate and red berries and currants on the nose nice chocolate flavours and and dark fruit. Well balance - tannins well balanced but quite present - will last another 5 years plus a baby Araujo — 6 years ago

One of the top 10 wines I’ve ever tasted. That includes some Cult wines Harlan, Araujo, Schrader, Scarecrow, Screaming Eagle, Maya, Shafer Hillside, Petrus, all 5 1st French Growths etc. Perfect name BLACK MAGIC. Last Dinner in the Big Island of Hawaii — 8 years ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
At some point i had to show off my Frankensteinian Argon line with a 50L tank below hahaha. This 14.6%‘er needed to settle down after opening and the system allowed me to taste this over 5 days+++. Waxy, viscous and super rich. Jasmine galore, white flowers, honeysuckle, honey, waxy, pretty herbaceous and touch bitter. Fantastic with the right food. Some dish with sprinkled blue cheese would be a match made in heaven. On its own just over the top. — 5 months ago
