Had the 2015, really light but great tasting wine — 6 years ago
100% Tempranillo. Dark ruby color. Nice aromas of black fruit, dark chocolate and tomato leaf. More red berry fruit on the pallet with nice hints of baking spices, vanilla and black licorice. Hint of orange rind on the medium finish. Soft and silky tannins and a wonderfully soft texture. Good integration of American oak. Solid quality for the price point. — 2 years ago
Rhonda loves it. At $10 a bottle on chairman's selection, buy it all. — 4 years ago

Had after a 2011 Pomerol which is a hard act to follow, but this little baby was up to the job — 6 years ago
Lovely. Deserves its 90 point rating. Quite dry, but with a well developed palette of flavor behind it. — 3 years ago
Dark in the glass. Like rusty nail and a blood red rose. Smells nice. Perfume of peony, rose and lilac. Also has black cherry juice, and soft black licorice candy. Flavor is robust and bittersweet. Maybe a hint of mocha. Plenty of moreno black cherries. Tannins in spades. More fruit less cedar/incense than some other Rioja’s. It has lovely intensity though. Aged quite nicely too. — 5 years ago

The nose is initially quite expressive with raspberry, blackberry, anise, leather, and earth. It does fade a bit after some time. The flavor profile is darker, with blackberry, tar, and black cherry. Firm tannins are present but not overwhelming. Longer finish dominated by black fruit and drying tannins. Give this an hour or two to breathe. Should age well for another 5-10 years.
