Juan Gil Jiménez first built his winery in 1916 in Jumilla, and passed it down to his future generations. From 100% Certified Organic Monastrell (or Mourvèdre in France), in chalky, stony soils, aromas of dark berry fruits and woody spice. Aged 12 months in French oak, palate shows blackberry and plum with smoky wood flavors and notes of cacao and cinnamon spice. Soft ripe tannins, medium+ ending with a light toasty earthy character. Great value! Very nice! — 3 months ago
Big and full bodied. Juicy plums. Long finish with tannins coming in at end. Almost a bit of a floral/herbal quality on the nose. Super good for the price. — 2 years ago
Herbal, interesting — 6 months ago
Smoky, strawberry aromas with a little bit of natural funk. Super light bodied, light fruit flavors and some pretty big tannins. Chilled down for a hot summer night, it should go lovely with Traeger brisket. — 4 months ago

Sensational. So fortunate to come across this bottle while roaming the “drink here” shelves. — 2 months ago
Semi-sweet, light bodied, balanced tannins, pairs well across the meat spectrum (chicken, pork, as well as red meat). — 5 months ago
