2019 vintage. Medium/medium-heavy body. Have found a vast majority of the exalted 2019 vintage Brunellos underwhelming. This one restored my faith. Ageworthy and slightly restrained while leaking/spitting out just enough dark fruit magic upon entry. Mid-level tannic confirmation at the clearly signed exit. Tastes likes a heady, 50/50 mix of dialed down, self-expectations paired with the parents, "sky's the limit," visions. Great now but try to avoid opening for another 3+ years if you can. 6.24.26. — 25 days ago
Deep Ruby red color with garnet edges, aromas of berry fruit, spice, oak and tobacco emanated from my glass. The palate showed mature flavors of cherry, blackberry and currants, with soft well developed tannins, well balanced with acidity. The finish was long and satisfying ending with some oak and earthy tones. — 18 days ago

Vigna Nastagio. Although the wine was satisfactory, it did not meet my expectations. I had previously had a more enjoyable experience with other vintages. The dominant tannic notes were even noticeable in an 8-year-old wine. — 2 days ago
Another vintage, another very good Brunello, bold, full bodied with a ripe cherry, vanilla, leather and mushroom. — 10 days ago
Had it at the Vegas Carbone restaurant, paired perfect with the Veal Parmigiana dish, bringing the red sauce to life. — 6 days ago
Fascinating to have a wine older than me. Smell was raisins - reminded me of amarone — a month ago
5/2026. Nice fruit and finish. Enjoyed with the sea bass at Halls Chophouse. — 2 months ago
Late lunch early dinner. Great — 2 months ago
Splash decanted and enjoyed over the course of two hours. The 2019 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Morello cherry, red flowers, black tea, dried green herbs and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and has that Ciacci Piccolomini silkiness. I felt the 2019 was a little reticent for the first 30min (not at all surprised) but opened beautifully after that and continued to build steam until the last glass. Very easy to enjoy and fabulous with bolognese. Drink now with a 30min decant and through 2044 — 2 months ago
