2020 vintage. The overwrought 2018 vintage got the Wine Spectator wine of year honor whilst the 2019 showed better oomph and aging qualities. This was nice and pretty but lacking in either long-term structure or roided up, meaty goodness. 03.12.25 — 13 days ago

Tasted blind . Medium deep , garnet core , garnet rim . Quite sweet spiced nose , slightly deeper cherry , riper slightly less fresh . Black tea . On the palate this is deeper and richer , more extracted in style . Darker cherry , blackberry , quite high acidity but slightly drying tannins . This is quite intense and with lots of presence, reasonably long , dry spice , dried dark cherry finish . Really quite young . Needs more time , better in 3-5 years and will last well a further 5-10 — 7 days ago

This was singing last night. Nice nose of mature cherries and spice box. Mid palate displays density and weight. Packed with ripe cherries and a hint of tobacco, complemented with a moderate tannin structure. Oak treatment was in the background. Finished with length and a hint of soft brown sugar. Acidity is still prominent so I assume you could continue to hold this for another 7 years with ease. — 23 days ago
