Fantastic Barbera d’Alba! — 2 months ago
Pretty smooth and no aftertaste at all. With the fishers for a nice super Tuscan before we dip to San Francisco. — 3 months ago
Quite light ruby , wide garnet , terracotta rim . Fruit forward , with red cherry , strawberry , rose , pomegranate with sweet spices , anis . On the palate lovely sweet cherry , strawberry , light red fruits , crunchy with quite fresh acidity . Polished and sweet , but very present tannins , this is still very young. Saline and sweet spice tinged finish , good length. This is drinking well, however is still very fruit driven and just improved throughout the evening . From now but will improve over the next 5-10 years and last well a further 10, especially in magnum. — a month ago

so memorable. had it 2 weeks ago and I can still taste it. warm nutmeg bold but round. I wish I could find this at my local wine stores. I love it as an accompaniment to some charcuterie, nuts, olives etc. — 3 days ago
Bright Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, spices, oak and smoky tobacco notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with notes of pepper, tobacco, cedar and vanilla. Long finish, nice balance with firm tannins, ending with oak and earthy notes. Ok but a few more years in the bottle might benefit! — 4 months ago

Haven’t had Cascina Fontana before and glad I got to try it - very nice. It’s been a bit since I’ve had a wine with good age - for some reason we have had a lot of younger wine of late. Good reminder of the potential. Still majority primary but some secondary present too. Earth and tobacco but great fruit expression. Excellent acid. Pitch perfect pairing with veal Marsala at Carbone. — a day ago
