Good slightly stony tinged red fruit finish . Drinking very well but still young and fruit driven , quite ripe but still well balanced . From now and over the next 5 -8 years . Superb Morey Villages that needed a bit of time in the cellar to open up some. All the power of a Morey with freshness and elegance, nice pure fruit, lovely and silky tannins, long delicious finish, really good especially given this cold 2011 vintage. 90-91 easy.

Lovely grocery store purchase $10E. Perfect with roasted chicken with lemon, shallots, garlic potatoes and mushrooms that I cooked. Pretty darn reasonable after lunch out yesterday that somehow went off the rails with blue lobster. I’ve never heard of blue lobster. Plan to learn. — 9 months ago

Nez muet à l’ouverture mais qui s’ouvre de façon élégante sur de beaux fruits rouges, des épices douces, un petit peu terreux. La bouche suit la même tendance, un peu fermée pour s’ouvrir finalement sur un beau fruit engageant, une acidité bien sentie, presque minérale, des tannins de fort belle texture, il y a une belle vivacité, finale de longueur moyenne mais savoureuse. Un très bon Chassagne rouge très typé je pense du terroir qui aurait pu mériter un peu plus de temps en cave.

Muted nose at first, took time to open up and it did so very nicely on red fruits, soft spices and a touch of an earthy feel. The palate follows the same trend, fairly closed and then started to blossom with that gorgeous and energetic red fruit, nice acidity, almost mineral, with tannins that have a nice texture on the palate, the delicious finish is of medium length. A very nice and typical red Chassagne that could have benefited of a little more time in the cellar. — 5 years ago

Flowery on the nose, slightly earthy but dominating red fruit and a touch oaky. The palate is pretty nice, medium bodied with nice dosage of acidity and fine grained tannins, the finale is nice with red fruit and a touch though of dryness. Pretty good despite the youth, preferred the 2016 and 2014 drank recently, but very glad to have many bottles in the cellar that will sit a few years. 90-91 for now.

Nez avec une touche florale, du fruit rouge, un peu terreux et un peu de boisé. La bouche est avenante, acidité présente mais bien dosée, tannins aux grains fins mais un peu asséchante en finale, compte tenu de la jeunesse. Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Showing raspberries, cherries, red currants, earth, red candy, spices, light oak, licorice and chocolates.

This is a delicious Pinot Noir from Burgundy. Elegant and fruity. Smooth and soft.

Nicely balanced and drinks fairly young, for a 6-year-old Pinot.

Modern in style, and feels like a Russian River Valley Pinot. So interesting.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine.

Deep concentrated notes of smoked ham, primary peppery and violette notes. Classic style. Beautiful gourmandise that will gain in wisdom with several years of cellar. 😋

Nice elegant nose of dark fruit, some spices and some earthy tones. The palate has nice and pure slightly tangy fruit, medium bodied with tannins that have an elegant touch to make it a delicious balanced wine, enjoyable now but will get better with a few years in the cellar.

La bouche a ce fruit juteux, très pur et assez finement acidulé, de corps plutôt moyen avec des tannins de texture fine, mais assez de structure pour en faire un bel ensemble.
