Pepper, oak, black current and a bit of cassis. Soft chewy tannin. Would want to try in several years. — 7 months ago

Delicious classic Bordeaux with all the deep cherry and black fruit notes, balanced acidity and tannin once allowed to breathe. A treat with my brother! — a month ago
Found one of these bottles lying around from 1996 — 3 months ago
2019 vintage. Previously known as Château Capbern Gasqueton, but after the death of the last Gasqueton, the estate was sold (together with Calon-Ségur) to the French insurance company Suravenir. This 2019 Saint-Estèphe features a dark red colour with a purplish rim and an attractive perfume of blackberry, cassis , slightly smoked cedar wood and a hint of pepper. Concentrated layered black fruit, with fresh acidity that perfectly balances the surprisingly high alcohol (15% abv.). Terrific value at around 20 euros. — 2 years ago
Выпито третьим вином в тот же вечер! Бордо 1999 года супер! — a month ago
Made with part of Merlot from the grand vin. Iper fruity and floral. Consistent mid palate. Nice and pleasant all the way thru. — 2 months ago
2018 vintage. Second wine of Cru Classé Malescot Saint-Exupéry. Charming nose with ripe black cherries, raspberry jam and some floral hints. This medium-bodied, fruit-driven Margaux is drinking well already with silky tannin and good length. Not very complex, but a very charming wine indeed. Abv. 14%. Good value at less than half the price of the Grand Vin, even if I would rate the less expensive La Tour de Bessan (tasted alongside) higher. — 2 years ago
