Château Bois Redon

Domaine Bois de Boursan

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2022

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Nose of red fruits with spices and earth notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, currants, light wood, spices, dark coffee, herbs and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This 3 year old red blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is still young, but already complex and entertaining. Very approachable, powerful and fruit forward.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Elegant and nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

A blend of 70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and other local varieties. Aged for 2 years in large French oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

A miracle! A Chateauneuf under 15% 🤣🤣 I’m glad to see it’s still possible!

Château Mont-Redon

Réserve Côtes du Rhône Grenache Syrah 2022

Just gushing with smoky, roasted dark-herb-inflected, gushy berry fruit on the nose. Quite the rich nose. Intense on the palate as well. Big whack of savory, iodiney flavors competing with dark berry-skin fruit. It’s a bit tannic and bitterish on the finish, which makes it a little less-than-friendly by itself, but should pair nicely in a hour or so with my pasta with broccoli rabe and homemade salciccia. — 6 months ago

Domaine Bois de Boursan

Cuvée des Félix Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2004

There is some evident oak up front in this Cuvée Felix, lots of fresh, clean red-fruited Grenache which is less ripe than the 2015 CdP opened with this, some mineral and floral notes as well, very good balancing acidity which keeps the wine youthful (it really seems like a 10-year-old CdP), I’d say it will improve for 5 years and easily last 10 more years, but the long, lively finish means it’s drinking very well tonight!! Purchased at the domaine in early 2007. — 9 days ago

Oaky, not seamless and integrated but also not over the top. There is good wine underneath the sheen of oak. If your thing you'll like it... — 2 months ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape White Rhône Blend 2024

Pretty nose of white flowers with citrus fruits.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with lemons, apples, pears, light earth, herbs and spices.

This is a very tasty white wine from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Rich and inviting, with a soft mouthfeel. Nicely balanced, complex and elegant.

Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already enjoyable even by itself. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.

A touch buttry, fresh and easy drinking. A good quality wine, and good by itself or with food.

A blend of 35% Clairette, 35% Grenache Blanc, 15% Roussanne and 15% Bourboulenc. A small production of only 3,000 bottles.

13.5% alcohol by volume.
