Chef's Table

Big Table Farm

Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2017

Reddish in color with light intensity.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing raspberries, sweet strawberries, cherish, earth, light wood, spices, dark chocolates, herbs and black pepper.

This 8 year old Pinot Noir from Oregon is drinking very nicely now. Complex and interesting. Feels like a lightly aged Burgundy.

Good right out of the bottle, and gets earthier as it opens. Will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

I had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent.

Elegant and good by itself or with food.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$45.

Big Table Farm

Pelos-Sandberg Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Reddish in color with a cloudy rim.

On the nose fresh red fruits with light oak and chocolates.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and fat legs.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, red plums, currants, light wood, spices, earth, light vegetables, coffee, bitter herbs and black pepper.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a tasty Pinot Noir from Oregon. Feels like an old world Pinot Noir.

Still very young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Showing good potential at this point.

This Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is good right out of the bottle, and better after some air time.

12.9% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$70.

Contra Costa County Red Table Wine 2022

This really does live into the moniker “Red Table Wine.” 100 year old vines. Pure sand vineyards. 75% Carignane 35% Mataro. No one varietal stands out. It’s just gutsy and deep and balanced and good. Little bit of everything: ripe fruit, earth, spice, acids, tannin. — a month ago

Lodi Red Table Wine 2023

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2023 RTW Lodi pours a bright ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of tart and ripe mixed fruits: blackberries, blueberries, strawberry, red rope licorice, flowers, dried green herbs, sandalwood and dry stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Best wine from Lodi. Incredible versatility. It just gets better and better. Bravo! Drink now through 2033+. — 6 months ago

Pleiades XXVII Old Vine California Red Table Wine

I got the XVIII (18 not 17). Nice! Drank by the glass at a restaurant, I was told it is little known grapes from California, I was expecting a kind of sin massale but I was surprised! Lightly colored, with good floral perfume and bright red food, good acidity and some earthiness that takes it away from pinot land, without any funk — 4 years ago

Château Palmer

Vin Blanc de Palmer Vin de Table White Bordeaux Blend 2021

Nice experience but not worth the money. Strong initial funk that eventually gave way to some fruit. Silky mouth feel but so many better wines for less money. — 2 months ago

@Doug Powers yes but its not your traditional white Bordeaux and more a somewhat random cuvee. Like i said: nice to try and experience but wouldnt necessarily recommend
