Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco and herbs.

Long finish with fine grained tannins.

This is a delicious Merlot from Santa Clara Valley in California. Rich, yet elegant.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.

Good by itself, and will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

A blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec. Aged for 36 months in oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Fruit juicy goodness. Dark, inky purple and nice acid/black fruit balance. Blackberry, goose berry, boysenberry...plenty of fruit but lively in the mouth and remarkably light on its feet. Round, soft tannins escort the wine on its finish. I used to recommend Cabernet to accompany that crusty, juicy medium rare filet... but this makes a brilliant case for carignan from a good producer and old vines. — 4 years ago
