Fresh & fruity with a little minerality. Really enjoyable with a light summer meal. π€π₯ β 2 years ago
love this wine! Santa Clara Co gets no respect! but should! GO β 4 months ago
Beautiful Grenache, light body, semi-sweet fruity flavors, smooth and very easy to drink. Just fine on its own or paired with roasted meats. β 8 months ago
Wonderful. Light to med body. Great with pasta and meatballs! β 2 years ago
Fruit juicy goodness. Dark, inky purple and nice acid/black fruit balance. Blackberry, goose berry, boysenberry...plenty of fruit but lively in the mouth and remarkably light on its feet. Round, soft tannins escort the wine on its finish. I used to recommend Cabernet to accompany that crusty, juicy medium rare filet... but this makes a brilliant case for carignan from a good producer and old vines. β 3 years ago
Popped and poured the 2021 Grenache βSanta Clara Countyβ pours a brilliant ruby color with a transparent core and a slightly watery rim. Medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with fresh, crunchy red fruits: raspberries, strawberries, Bing cherry, red flowers, cola nut, and soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and loaded with minerals. So fresh. So pure. It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco and herbs.
Long finish with fine grained tannins.
This is a delicious Merlot from Santa Clara Valley in California. Rich, yet elegant.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.
Good by itself, and will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
A blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec. Aged for 36 months in oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
