Sunday lunch with the annual boys trip away for the Rugby where the Wallabies had a win over Wales last weekend. Lunch at top notch Sydney restaurant Icebergs at Bondi Beach. I picked this one from the extensive Wine List from young gun Joshua Cooper who has some famous neighbours in the Macedon Ranges like Bindi and Curly Flat. This was more full bodied than I was expecting but got the thumbs up from all the Rugby fans who ordered a 2nd bottle. A generous Pinot showing ripe red fruits and plenty of whole bunch character. — 8 months ago
My first Joshua Cooper wine - had to check out the Young Winemaker of the year for 2020 awarded by Gourmet Wine Traveller magazine. Joshua has recently turned 32. This wine was quite rich and dense and a little closed aromatically - obviously quite young. Ripe plum, rose petals, with a little vegetal matter. - a big future ahead. Joshua has had wide experience with Australian wineries and in Burgundy with Domaine de la Vougeraie and Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron. This wine from the cool climate Macedon Ranges with high profile neighbours like Bindi and Curly Flat. — 4 years ago
Tastes like raspberry jam and brandy. Very sweet, very strong. I enjoyed — 5 months ago
This is a great time to open this! It's really come a long way in the past 2 years- standing up to its big Cab brother now. Perfect pairing with pork and BBQ dishes. — 9 months ago

Crisp and well balanced Pinot Gris ($19). Delicious with Pat’s grilled salmon — 9 months ago
Mineral, oak and a bit of bret on the nose. Pretty good acid balance with the fruit. Not overly oaked and not trying to be a butter bomb. Short clean finish. Not deeply complex. — 2 years ago
