Pergola Dandelion Albariño

"Dandelion" by @nanclaresyprieto is an expressive
white wine from Rías Baixas, a coastal region in northwestern Spain & known for its crisp, mineral-driven Albariño (the same grape used in most Portuguese Vinho Verde). It bursts with flavors of salty peaches, juicy melon, and grapefruit.
@alberto_nanclares was an economist in Madrid before he and his wife moved to Rías Baixas to be closer to the sea. E While he didn't intend to become a winemaker, the land he purchased came with vines.
With the help of his neighbors, he gave it a go and later partnered with @silvia_prieto3 - a consultant and specialist in organic, traditional viticulture. Their dedication to purity makes all the difference in this iconic wine, transporting you to the Atlantic coast-it's my favorite Albariño to date!
• Organically farmed and crafted with a low-intervention approach, this wine's label depicts the region's traditional "parras" trellising system of growing grapes 7-10 feet high
to improve air circulation
(preventing mildew) and maximize sun exposure (promoting ripening) in humid vineyards.
Although Rías Baixas wasn't a major player on the international wine scene until the '80s and '90s, it now produces Spain's premier white wines-and more than half of the region's winemakers are women!

Cheval Quancard

Cuvée Clémence Entre-Deux-Mers Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend

2018 vintage. Good example of oaked Sauv Blanc blend (even says "elevé en fûts de chêne" on the label). 70-20-10 SB, Sémillon, Muscadelle. Lemon meringue, dill, a little coconut, banana peel, sunflower seed, dandelion. Oak is definitely overt, but well-integrated. — 5 years ago

Domaine François Carillon

Les Macherelles Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2019

Young, but accessible. Gun flint nose is instantly seductive descending like smoke onto brioche and twists of impossibly minute lemon peel, lime and tangerine piths, underripe pineapple freshness, Marcona almond, toasted sesame, chalky chunks have absorbed the smoke, and fallen citrus celebrates its rebirth. Lemon pith that oozes lemon skin oils like dewdrop diamonds. Incredible minerality that crystallizes into spines of grapefruit, dandelion, dried gooseberry, and marigold. Shiny, bright, crystal clean, and revelatory. Amazing compilation of parts that remains suspended like a chandelier in ethereal weightlessness.

Caorunn

Small Batch Gin 2021

Caorunn is crafted in a whisky distillery – Scotland’s Speyside’s Balmenach – one of the first distilleries to be licensed in the production of Scotch whisky in 1824.
Caorunn has 11 botanicals. The main five Celtic ingredients – rowan berry, bog myrtle, heather, coul blush apple and dandelion leaf. These five main botanicals enhance the remaining six traditional botanicals. This special mix of botanicals results in a crisp well balanced dry gin. Although there are hints of citrus, apple, spice and juniper... the flavors are subtle and smooth. For enjoyable G&T options serve with a garnish of choice. Excellent!
