#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with wide brick rim.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing red currants, cherries, earth, black coffee, licorice, oak, black tea, tobacco leaf, herbs and light black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 63 year old Tempranillo from Rioja is still drinking nicely, although obviously not at its peak.
Soft and elegant with a nice mouthfeel. Nicely balanced and elegant. Tangy and interesting.
Still has enough fruits in it to last another 10 years. Not showing as much complexity as I expected, but it's always nice to try these kind of old wines.
I enjoyed it very much, all by itself.
A blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. Aged in French oak barrels for 3 years. Recorcked by the winery a few years ago. Only 400 bottles made.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

At 10 years old, this was the smoothest Rioja I have tasted. Mild bouquet with dark ruby color. Just wonderful to sip. Accompanied a brisket meal and was a perfect pairing. Drank in November 2024. — 2 months ago
Primarily Tempranillo with a bit of Graciano blended in. Dark red/violet color. Aromas of currants, leather, rose petal and sweet baking spices. Red and black berry fruit on the palate with additional flavors of chocolate, vanilla, dried dill and coffee. Really soft tannins and texture. A bit of a bitter, spicy and oaky finish. Reasonable and a good value. — 9 months ago
Good Tuesday wine and with some value — 10 months ago
Less than 7€, supervalue. To be consumed young, as it is. 2023, strawberry and raspberry candy, mouthful, pleasant, well made. Cannot thing of much better things at that price. — 2 months ago
