2024/9/2-3. There’s some young austerity, but with air the aromas really open, with salted lemon, stone, smoky minerals, flowers and judicious oak. In the palate it’s still quite tight, with ample acid and and austere structure - enjoyable but a bit gangly compared to what it will be at peak. Still, I understand Amiot has lengthened maturation times to near two years, and to me, those echoes of old school producers are very welcome — 2 months ago
Most delicious of the lineup. It really clicked for me, makes me understand how low toast oak can jive with a restrained, pristine sauv blanc character that’s the house signature. Enough air coaxes out apple and a hint of ginger, but it’s that equilibrium between fruit, oak, lees and structure that strikes the match — 2 months ago
Not bad, but I’d take the 17’ Leflaive Bourgogne any day over this. I liked how complex the nose was, and that it was textural and quite mineral, but I just couldn’t stand how sweet-fruited and oily the profile was. Very clearly a warm vintage Burg. Then again, Amiot does make more generous Chardonnay’s. Not for me, but I’d recommend this over any butter ball to lovers of “smash-mouth” wines. — 8 months ago
All about texture. Viscous and luscious, very shy in the nose but pristine in the harmony between tight yet ripe herbal character, minerality and nutty bitterness. Long finish. Needs time to develop intensity — 2 months ago

Last bottle of the ‘18. It’s pretty much at its peak. Intense limestoney minerality balanced by just enough ripe fruit green apple/citrus pith fruit. A very subtle green herbal note in the background. Round-textured in the mouth initially, u til the intense minerality puts on its geology show-and-tell. Nice acids. A pleasant mouthful of rocks, basically. — 5 months ago
