Domaine Du Fief De La Gravelle

Domaine du Clos du Fief Juliénas Gamay

Traditional 100% Gamay coming from a Vineyard by the hills with a stony clay soil on shallow blue stones, manually harvested from vines averaging +50 years. A wine made in very small quantities (around 2500 bottles per harvest).
Plummy, dark prunes, red fruit marmalade, delicate acidity, a more fruit-forward styled Gamay on both nose and palate. Very long finish with medium tannins and a bit of rich at the very end. Can even be paired with lean and shredded beef in red sauces.

Truncated family party notes. So solid and typical and satisfying. As always. This Crozes is such a great value. Drink up. — 2 months ago

Le Fief du Breil Muscadet Sevre Et Maine Sur Lie

A ton of minerality on this one. Sea spray, quartz, lemon, yellow pear, white peach, creamy but with good acidity. Wound pair great with oysters but also dishes with a light cream sauce. — 3 years ago
