New Years bottle that really shone: medium bodied, all kinds of tiny berry flavors, wild strawberries, raspberries etc with enough tannic undertow & freshness ( after all, should be given the vintage) to keep the whole thing moving. Tons of character, & outshone a primo Cali red at the table but w caveat this suits my palate more — 10 months ago

Was looking for a Pinot with a bit more structure and opened up this - man, this has evolved beautifully over the last 2y! Showing such finesse & elegance right now, the tannins so fine & smooth and the fruit shining. This is really a beauty to open up now.
Red berries with undergrowth, some tree bark, a hint of exotic spice & orange zest, maybe a whiff of dark cherry. So fresh, so juicy, so enticing!!
On the palate this sings! Impeccably balanced, with great depth & elegance.
Wow. This is quite profound and a stunner!

Beautiful nose. Palate lacking. — 2 years ago
Pale salmon color with strong bubbles. Smells like yeast and sea air. Mild mineral-y first impression followed by flavors of tangerine and aftertaste of grapefruit and nectarine. Dry. Mellow for a rose. Very pleasant. — 6 months ago
Never get enough Spatburgunders at home. If this were Burgundy, people would call it “masculine.” — a year ago
Light bodied ice wine that touches the nose with citric acids, but engulfs the palate with sweetness on the tip of the tongue with florals and pear, apples, and apricot — 2 years ago
