So good to be drinking this bottle again… the 2014 vintage was what started my obsession with French Bordeaux’s year ago. Glad to report this is still a fantastic bottle! Fruity and well balanced. Tannic and fruity. I just love this wine and will continue buying it, for the price it’s a great R bank Bordeaux. #nostalgia #bordeaux — a month ago
Hands down best rouge Coteaux Champenois, it’s so special to have this with some age. It’s stunning tonight, drinking like a top notch red burg, wafting layered red cherry fruit, floral and spice inflicted aromatics with an incredibly luxurious texture, silky tannins, immense depth and a massively long mineral laced finale. Special wine. — 3 months ago

Rich with a mild wood or nutty flavor. Full body. — 24 days ago
Stood upright for a week so the particles would settle in the bottom. I decanted so I could get a clear glass and could see the puff of sulfur and all the bubbles or effervescence in the decanter. Very yeasty for the first 30 minutes and took longer than that for it to lose the effervescence. Not sure if any of this helped or hindered the results 🫠 — 3 months ago
To celebrate my 9,000 reviews on vivino, here is a beautiful Pinot Noir.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong fruity nose with bing cherries, raspberries, sweet strawberries, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, earth and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blueberries, black cherries, light earth, herbs, spices, vanilla, cedar, black pepper, light cola, dark coffee and licorice. black pepper.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Pinot Noir from Burgundy is already drinking very nicely, but still extremely young. Well balanced and smooth with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
I had it blind right out of the bottle. That was a nice surprise. I called 2018 Burgundy Pinot Noir, but I did not see this kind of bottle coming... What a great experience to blind taste such an iconic wine.
There is always an aura when drinking these kind of wines, but drinking them blind, gives you a perspective that might be missed otherwise.
Needed 2 hours in the decanter to open up properly, and bring more complexity. Much better once it opens up.

I had an older vintage of this wine a year ago, and it is such a different wine. Will continue to age nicely in the next 30 to 40 years.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Leans into its carbonic character, with a confectionary nose of bright cherry-plum bubble gum, loads of granite, and almost a subtle just-dug root vegetable note. In the mouth it has an initial belt of high/toned fruit, but then slims down and eases into a lean feel, with fine, chalky minerality being the last characteristic. Definitely on the lighter side but quite flavorful. Seems a little disjointed and would probably benefit from another year or so in the bottle to come together. — a month ago

2014. Light, sour cherry, leather, and a little Brett funk. Went great with the lamb dishes we had tonight! — 7 hours ago
