Opened and had a small glass. Closed with good seal and glass on second night was noticeably better. — a year ago
Dec 2023. Vertical w/ 2010 vintage. Should have tasted this on first! 2010 is outstanding (probably at least partially due to the age) this 2016 is very good. Black fruit, chocolate, tobacco. Classic left bank Bordeaux. Excellent QpR ay $29/bottle. Have several more so can enjoy as it ages. — a year ago

Beautiful fruit, acidity,and salinity. Disgorged April 27, 2021 — 2 years ago
2008 doesn’t disappoint. My other bottles will lay down for another 5 years plus.
It is fresh, lush, rich with great o2. The flavors burst onto the palate. Bruised apple, Bosc pear, ginger ale to ginger, cream soda, cream, lemon, lime, orange citrus, biscuit, yeasty, limestone, chalk, saline, baguette crust, yellow & white florals, the acidity is outstanding. The finish is well balanced, structured, big structure and lasts two-minutes.
Pictures of my October visit Philipponnat. Pano from their Clos de Goisses of the beautiful Cote de Blancs, upward look at their Clos de Goisses, Clos de Goisses signage as you walk up to that vineyard and their cellar.

Another grower favorite; 75% Pinot Noir / 25% Chardonnay, mostly from 2015 (50%) along with 2014 and 2013 (50%). April 2021 disgorgement (+45 months), which is very evident; 12.5% ABV. High dosage of 6.5g; medium+ body and quite round; crisp on and through finish. Tons of green apple, tangerine, and pear, with an aggressive flower bouquet on the nose. Shows much brighter than the strong Pinot Noir tilt would imply. Delicious …and an absurd value; crowd pleaser. Cheers! — 2 days ago
