Mysterium Pinot Noir/Blanc de Noir 2020

Buttery and just a bit edgy after four years of aging. Some apricot. It’s real nice but I wouldn’t wait any longer.

It works with soft cheese & fig jam.

Mount Edward

Central Otago Pinot Noir 2021

For $49, this is great p/q. Less heavy than Neuendorf, and a touch more complex and balanced than Rockburn for the same money. There is the dark fruited spice of central otago but with a more burgundian acid and tannin profile. Savoury and long. — 6 months ago

Nice - not overly jammy, and with a distinct taste of orange peel. — 4 months ago

Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Fantastic wine. Super black. Aromatic. Purple/black fruit. Very smooth. Great mouthfeel, soft yet firm tannins. Great blend. Really enjoyed this bottle. Lewis has always had a unique taste to me. — a month ago

Alec's Blend Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2009

#AgedWineTuesday

Inky in color with a short reddish rim. Not showing much age.

Gorgeous nose of black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, cocoa, cola, light alcohol, tobacco leaf, light herbs, black pepper and Mediterranean spices.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bitter herbs, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, earth, dark chocolates and black pepper.

Long finish with soft tannins and cherries.

This is a delicious 15 year old Syrah from Napa Valley. Elegant and robust. Rich and extracted.

Showing nice complexity at this point, and needs a couple of hours to open up properly.

A great sipping wine, that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 80% Syrah, 17% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. 1,000 cases produced.

15.5% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$70 (current vintage).
