Wow!! Simply awesome. 1hr+ decant. Dark purple color. Nose of tar and baking spices. Velvet on the palate and chewy. Nice fruit with earth and refinement throughout. Medium plus depth. Medium minus finish is the only fault. Wish I bought more @ $45!! 96.5 but rounding up. Glad I have two more bottles!! — 4 years ago
This is a very distinctive, powerful and deep Zinfandel from Lodi, California. Vertically Sourced and produced by Oak Ridge from its own ancient +100-year-old vines. It packs tons of dark cherry and berries and is very chocolaty, since this is a reserve version, the lingering oak and texture is very long but not overwhelming. — 6 months ago
Auction wine. Broken cork. Again. Wine was at base of the neck. I think cakebread got a batch of bad corks. No wine into the cork and they all broke right at the end. Not sure how it affected the wine but it’s been a consistent issue
Wine exhibited some decent fruit but no real depth or grip. Very smooth and medium body but missing some power and complexity expected from this site.

Full-bodied and seductive with heaps of dark berry fruit, followed by aromas of leather and oak. On the palate, the wine is round and layered, showing flavors of dark fruits, vanilla, and toffee through a lingering spice-touched finish. — 10 months ago
