I opened this on Thanksgiving, and it was more tart than I remembered from previous tastings. I cloded the bottle and moved on to other wines. After sitting in my fridge for a week, it smells like prunes, black cherries, and a hint of chocolate on the nose; medium minus acidity; medium tannins; tastes like blackberry sauce and crushed gravel with a long finish. I love this wine, and Nellie likes it too. I will decant this wine for at least an hour the next time I open a bottle. It's much more impressive after a week in my fridge. — 4 months ago
A wine from Jorge Ordóñez and his winemaking team. Pale lemon color with crisp stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and melon with lemon citrus, consistent offering from La Cana. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral tang. Nice value. — 16 days ago
Fun and vibrant. Notes of cherry with dried leaf finish. Nice organic wine. — 7 months ago
It's sharp, tannic and very dry. Some dark fruit (nose only), touch of vanilla and overwhelming leather, dark chocolate, earthy in general. — a month ago
Semi-sweet, medium body, plum and berry, good on its own or with a charcuterie plate. — 2 months ago
Very easy drinking with some spiciness at a very reasonable price — 7 months ago

Smoky!
Want a reason to try some California Sangiovese?
There ya be. As it opens the fruit just seems to erupt- and all the while the smoke just kicks back, feet up, waiting.
Just outstanding. — a day ago
