I really enjoyed this wine. It was sweet enough but not too sweet. And I absolutely love the Apple flavor. It gives more of a Granny Apple taste on a light note. — 8 years ago

“Ojo Gallo’, Castellano for ‘rooster eye’ (in other words, what the French call ‘oeil de perdrix’), hearkens back to the traditional clarete style of the region. This dark rosé (light red?) is a field blend of very old vines of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Bobal, Monastrell, Viura, Albillo and Malvasia co-fermented in cement and raised for 8 months in used barrels before bottling without added sulfur” — 4 years ago
The community of Saint-Estèphe has it roots in the Gallo-Roman origins of this chateau. A blend of 78% Cab Sauv, 20% Merlot & 2% Petit Verdot. Deep Ruby with aromas of dense sweet black fruits with herb and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry, currant like, with tobacco, tar and hints of vanilla exposing mushroom notes. Well balanced, ripe textured tannins, long finish ending with earthy character. Nice, has plenty of room to develop. — 7 years ago
Color of deep garnet with no age discoloration around the edges, nose fragrant of red fruit, still good structure in the body, full and rich mouthfeel Of plums and cherry with long strong finish. Tons on sediment on the bottle shoulders on the last half glass. — 7 years ago
Unfortified fino. Bit of brine. — 8 years ago

This is a sweet wine with lots of flavor. It tastes just like what the label says sweet peach. I keep buying it because its very good! — 6 years ago

Still showed very nice. Good fruit, complex, balanced. Sorry for the staged rib photo (FYI...my ribs were 7.8...not my best effort) — 8 years ago

Sweet wine with lots of fruit flavors. It's my favorite wine to sip on while hanging out with my friends on a casual night. — 9 years ago

Zin sounded right on this cool, rainy day. Totally rewriting my review after an hour. A big whiff of sour fruit (not bad). Thinner mouthfeel than i expected. The taste is dried fruits: prune, dates, apricot. Chocolate, licorice, sweet things. There in an odd charred element, a bit like pipe tobacco but burned. Not terribly off putting, but I do think it's getting tired. 11 years! @Doug Powers That's like senior citizen old!
