So easy to drink, yet still very interesting. Not too sweet at all. A great, affordable wine to have on hand. — 18 days ago

Signature Series Zinfandel 2015

Had next to a 2015 turley old vine. This is richer with baking spices. — 7 years ago

Torremilanos Ojo Gallo Tempranillo 2020

“Ojo Gallo’, Castellano for ‘rooster eye’ (in other words, what the French call ‘oeil de perdrix’), hearkens back to the traditional clarete style of the region. This dark rosé (light red?) is a field blend of very old vines of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Bobal, Monastrell, Viura, Albillo and Malvasia co-fermented in cement and raised for 8 months in used barrels before bottling without added sulfur” — 3 years ago

I had this wine 20+ years ago. Remember coming out of pocket about $40, hoping it’s would be good. This was part of the “next level” of Gallo wines without actually changing the name. It was considered near the top shelf for them at the time. Enjoy your birthday!

Very light! Sweet but not too sweet. Didn’t blow me away, but I like it bc it doesn’t overpower. Cheap like $5. Peach/honey/citrus — 4 years ago

Château Calon-Ségur

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

The community of Saint-Estèphe has it roots in the Gallo-Roman origins of this chateau. A blend of 78% Cab Sauv, 20% Merlot & 2% Petit Verdot. Deep Ruby with aromas of dense sweet black fruits with herb and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry, currant like, with tobacco, tar and hints of vanilla exposing mushroom notes. Well balanced, ripe textured tannins, long finish ending with earthy character. Nice, has plenty of room to develop. — 5 years ago
