Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, black plums, cherries, spices, light oak, diet cola, light bell pepper, chocolates, black pepper and herbs.
Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Very dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, dark chocolates, green vegetables, light earth, herbs and black tea.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a very tasty 9 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Lake County in California. Fruit forward and spicy.
Good right out of the bottle, and gets earthier and spicier as it opens up.
I had this vintage 5 years ago and it is drinking so much better now. Will not improve from this point on, so drink up.
Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.
Kosher and Mevushal.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Typical California Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley, Sonoma. Buttery, creamy, vanilla-driven and oaky on the nose thanks to its fermentation and aging process for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Definitely shows expression of the Russian River Valley's distinctive climate that provides lime and tropical fruits with some camomile and other white flowers to most of Chard’s sourced from there. The savory notes mixed with ripen apricot and baked pineapple makes it really refreshing and interesting. A bit toasty to my preference, but appreciate its weight and intensity on the finish and general decent overall as a mouthfeel. — 7 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2019 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red and black fruits: Montmorency cherry, plums, horse barn, purple and red flowers, crushed rocks and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and laden with minerals. This is not faking the funk on a nasty dunk. Drink now through 2029. — 9 months ago

Hans Schiller – Liebfraumilch 2023
Rheinhessen – Germany 🇩🇪
Overview
Blend: A classic Liebfraumilch, a typical blend of Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, and Riesling as more dominant base, which offers a bit more structure and lift. An easy sipper from Rheinhessen, Germany’s largest wine region.
Aromas & Flavors
Light, easy-drinking, and approachable. Gentle notes of orchard fruits like apple and pear mix with a touch of citrus and white peach. A hint of floral perfume gives it charm. The sweetness is soft, balanced by mild acidity, making it smooth and pleasant from start to finish.
Mouthfeel
Off-dry, round, and refreshing on the palate with a silky texture. Low alcohol keeps it very approachable, with a delicate finish.
Food Pairing
Best with light fare: spicy Asian dishes, mild cheeses, fresh fruit plates, or simply as an aperitif for casual sipping.
Verdict
A classic everyday German white—easy, sweet-leaning, and meant for uncomplicated enjoyment. Not about depth, but about pure drinkability and charm. Cheers!

“Liebfraumilch” translates to “Beloved Lady’s Milk,” a historic reference to the Virgin Mary and the vineyard around the Liebfrauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) in Worms, Germany. Once one of Germany’s most famous exports, it’s still widely enjoyed for its soft style. — a month ago
