Some nail polish and canned pineapple on the nose. Should have decanted! Cherry, blueberry, woody. — 2 years ago
2016, so, young and wound up. Nose of live cypress, fresh dug hole along a wood, pine one, cherrywood, pressed raspberry; barely broken. Raisin rolls, chanterelle, rose stem. Rocky, with a silken red liquid rose petal moment that turned chewy round tannin and lush burst of plum. A solid nod to graphite immersed in raspberry tartness, red currant and slightest cinnamon and slighter peppercorn. Green in spots but there architecturally.

Must have been a hole in the bottle, it emptied way too fast. — a year ago
The colour is dramatically golden, but is amazingly bright
I thought that perhaps it was gone but the wine has found a balance
It's still fresh with a nectarine fruit
After that it starts with white nougat, hay, lanolin, ferns, lemongrass, ginger, sesame, nearly laksa-like scent.
I admit this could have been a hole in the water, but the wine is singing
Perhaps not extremely long, but unique

Another spot on wine from Morgan, I love the back label story about his grandmother passing along the love of wine in their family. Grenache is so much about how it is grown, and the sourcing for this wine delivers great fruit. The winemaking is restrained which lets the fruit shine thru. Bizot tasting & lunch. Flight 1
Very rare with tiny production. Whole cluster with 100% new oak. When you taste these wines you can see why they have such high demand almost impossible to find & pricing is sky high. The 18’s were open & seemed ready showing beautiful red cherry, berry fruits showing purity & transparency with Leroy like spice & floral notes. Everything is in perfect balance. The 2020 will also be a great vintage

Great expression! 9ish years of bottle age and still a lot of life left in this bottle. The acid is what makes this wine a true age worthy bottle. Blackberry, blackberry bramble, earthy leather. — 2 years ago
Really good nose, very inviting and so unmistakably left-bank. Aromas of blackberry, plum, cedar, pencil shavings, earthy quality, tiny hint of vanilla - all round an excellent, well balanced nose.
Palate a little less impressive, with quite a noticeable ‘hole’ in its middle, and some green pepper and tomato vine flavours. That fruit just disappears! Mostly sour cherry, cranberry, and quite a stalky palate with ample acidity, gentle tannins but not great depth to the fruit. It’s still enjoyable, though, and at this price £18 represents v good value.
I feel like this wine is an illustration of how it can hurt to be analytical about wine - dissecting a wine’s qualities and its flaws - as this is really a perfectly good Bordeaux in many aspects and does speak to its terroir. A little more body to the palate and this could’ve been a great wine. — 3 years ago
