Drinking at Mar & Fuego in Medellin Colombia — 2 years ago
Sangiovese Rosé, Colombia Valley. Salmon pink with a cherry red tinge, excellent clarity. Cherry cobbler aroma on nose. Cherry and raspberry Kool Aid flavors. Slightly chalky mineral finish, maybe lactic too, mild skin astringency on finish. Blessedly dry. Acid is all right, body is ok or a touch thin in mouthfeel, a minor issue. Great varietal character. Good value — 4 years ago
A bit deep straw. Sweet and acidic fruity. chateau ste michelle ethos late harvest riesling, Colombia Valley 2019 @55, SAP, 240328-240420 — 9 months ago
Beautiful Cab Sauv from the Colombia Valley! Dried fruits, plum, tobacco opened the palate and finished with lingering fruits and cassis. The 2013 was a bit more austere than near years, but still very nice! — a year ago
Sweet on the nose. Tropical fruits found in Peru and Colombia. Not your typical chard — 3 years ago
Colombia Valley, Old Vines. 4090 cases. Yellow, excellent clarity. Vanilla/floral nose. Lemon, melon and peach flavors, some skin astringency and minerality on finish. Dry to off-dry with tangerine-citrus aftertaste. Easy, even delightful drinking but more acid would seal the deal. Great value, regardless. — 5 years ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
From the Colombia Gorge in WA. Very acidic 11:75%. Petrol, galore, yuzu good match for asian food. Touch oxidized. Quinces? Reminds me of the white sherry like wines from spain. I loved their Pinot 5 years back. Now they have established themselves and get rave reviews. This is not your typical riesling it lacks the Riesling fruit i am used to. — 6 months ago
