Medium yellow. Focused aromas of pink Lady apple, apricot and orchard blossom. Perfectly judged sweetness that matches equally well with German veal sausages and a simpler meal of grilled cheese sandwich. Tastes like summer — 5 years ago
Wonderfully floaty nose. White peach, crisp apple, sweet powdered stones. Soft mouthfeel. Appley on entry but quickly molting into high-toned rock dust and lemon juice. Great balance. I could guzzle a lot of this really quickly. (I took a photo of the back label because it had more info.) — 9 years ago

(back label pictured). This is the Weingut Jakoby 2014 Kinheimer Hubertuslay Riesling Kabinett Trocken "Aufstieg." Very elegant and subtle. Nose has fragrant green and red apple, a high-toned cracked stone minerality, and dried matcha green tea. Intensely flavored, lively, but with an elegant, soft mouthfeel. Acids are mouthwatering but well integrated. Light bodied for a trocken. Very nice! — 9 years ago

A producer no longer making wine. A very special Riesling here. Lost its sweetness from its bottle age, and has now taken on savory and tropical qualities. Delicious. — 4 years ago
