@Lyle Fass Best American riesling producer. His grüners are very well done as well. He makes a table white-“Hinter Der Mauer”-that is phenomenal for the price. I like but don’t love the reds as much as the whites. Feel it’s a matter of time with those before I do tho in the next few vintages.

Have been at the winery in a huge warehouse where he rented a square. Hard to find. One of the nicest guys ever. And solid winemaking on the whites. The reds still need some work.

Wagner did a nice job with this Pinot. Nice clarity in the glass. Notes of bright cherry, herbal notes, black tea and a ting of vanilla. The finish is more than ample. Maybe the bottle age adds a bit on the back end. Better than its RRV sister. — 24 days ago
