Very nice surprise for me given my expectations were low for this generic high priced Burgundy. But we were aurprised by the generius red fruit, cherries, nice depth and volume, good acidity and silky tannins with a decent finish in terms of length and flavor. Well balanced and even if the price tag is high, there was some wine in there. Gorgeous. Our son’s dog named “Pinot, (yeah we are passionate about anything that is Pinot) seems to appreciate also.

Fairly simple and straightforward, I wish this wine was more gutsy than just appealing to taste soft and more fruity. Shows hints of what could be though so it is true to Syrah character. — 8 months ago
— 4 years ago
— 9 months ago
Very smooth flavorful Pinot noir. Good vanilla notes. Great inexpensive table wine. — 3 years ago
Absolutely wonderful wine. Nice one to snag from a recent Manhattan Wine sale. Decanted 3+ hours, surprisingly accessible at this stage. Somewhat reticent on the nose, even after the decant. But so nice on the palate - perfect body, lots of red fruit, crunchy tart cherry, excellent acidity that hits very nicely in the mid to late palate that brings good zip. Tannins are there and ever so slightly chunky but doesn’t get in the way at all. Perfect with some simple roast chicken with mushrooms cooked in the chicken fat and jus. — 4 years ago

2019 vintage. It seems that you cannot go wrong with Cantemerle. This second wine is a delicious, simple and mature Haut-Médoc. Terrific value. Outperforms the Mauvezin Saint-Emilion grand cru 2019 tasted alongside. ABV. 13%. — a month ago
