Lovely full bodied Chianti Classico Riserva still tannic on the palate and could age at least another 5 years. Very indicative of the region of Castellina in Chianti with the addition of 10% Merlot for smoothness and body. Unfortunately my last bottle of the 2008 vintage. Drinking in May, 2020. — 6 years ago

Blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaolo, medium Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, floral and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of sour cherry, currant and raspberry with tobacco, baking spices and nutty notes. Fine rustic tannins, vivid acidity, medium finish ending with fruit and earthy spice.
