Delightful. Not too citrusy, not too apply, it’s Goldilocks — 5 months ago
Golden copper color. Orchard fruit, citrus dry, precise, high acidity. Light toasty notes, not much fruit, lemon zest, rich — 6 months ago
Love this champagne. I think my last bottle of it
A lot of finesse and very smooth. Drinking from a red burgundy glass.
Has a nice consistent sweetness to it that is balanced by a citrus flavor such that it’s a pleasant sweetness and not sugary.

I am generally not a huge fan of Champagne unless it is exceptional which this is. I have always enjoyed the Blanc de Noirs style as well. Mid copper in colour. Plenty of chalky minerality on nose and palate. Fine mousse- small persistent bubbles - 72 months on lees. 100% Pinot Noir. Also aromatics of citrus and mouldy apple. The next night just as good with fewer bubbles. Much cheaper than Krug’s Clos d’Ambonnay for a similar experience I would imagine although I haven’t shelled out the considerable dosh for one of the Krug’s. — 7 months ago

Fucking stunner. I love the Pinot Meunier champagnes they’re so round and just incredible. A beautiful bottle — 5 months ago
So interesting. Always appreciate this 100% Pinot Noir blend from three different reserve vintages (one at least ten years old). Bright golden color. Distinct umami aromas along with hints of green apples, white flowers and red berry fruit. Flavors of red cherries and strawberries, soy sauce, apricot and mushrooms. Beautiful note of mineral tension on the long, persistent and lingering finish. Fine stream of tiny bubbles and a creamy mousse. Outstanding freshness, complexity and length. Bright and clean acidity. Quite intense yet very delicate at the same time. Simply fantastic and totally unique. Beautiful basket-style packaging. Thanks for bringing this special New Year’s Eve bottle, Kase! — 6 months ago
Traditional, tasty, but also somewhat uninspiring. Not standing up to the small producer we drink next … — 6 months ago

Showing mature flavors & drinking well! Purchased on release in 2014 — 7 months ago
This is an amazing year and continues to be in such an amazing state of balance. It is such an amazing champagne. — 5 months ago
Aromas of lemon zest, white peach, and chalky minerality are layered with hints of toasted brioche and hazelnut. On the palate, vibrant acidity with a creamy, seamless texture. The finish is long and precise. A confident elegance. This bottle makes you yell , “Why don’t I own magnums?” — 6 months ago

Morning of 9th anniversary. First NYE in TX. Amber had a positive pregnancy test this morning! 😄 — 6 months ago
Smells like red berries, fresh bread and honey, and possibly pear. Complex, yet a clean finish. Yum. — 6 months ago

Not the champagne I had in mind for tonight, but sometimes circumstances play their part.
This is pleasant enough. It will go well with my almond tart later.
The mouthfeel shows nice mousse, somewhat lively acidity, bruised golden/red/green apple to apple sauce, bruised pear, white citrus blend-grapefruit w/ pith leading, quince, touch of brown sugar, some yeastiness, baguette crust, graham cracker, volcanic minerals w/ clay, white spice, caramel notes, vanillin, sea spray, grippy, grainy chalk, sea fossils-oysters, limestone marl, withering lilies, spring flowers, nice acidity and a well balanced, good length, elegant finish that lasts nearly 90 second and lands on mid intensity minerals and spice.
Photos of; the champagne house of Veuve Clicqoit and the widow herself. You see her under the metal gage and plated over the cork.
