3-D Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay 2018

Fantastic chardonnay from Greg Brewer that is only going to get better and better with more time in the bottle. A perfect match for a spectacular day in Eagle Harbor on Lake Superior…and even better to celebrate Vanessa’s paper being accepted for publication today! 🥳 — 3 years ago

@Jim McCusker @Vanessa McCaffrey What a beautiful day. congratulations on your paper being excepted for publication. What an enjoyable bottle of wine. That wine has a long runway in front of it. Will taste even better in a year. Cheers and congratulations again.

Coming together. Still a little tart. Cranberry, strawberry, Nice although lacks a little bit depth i typically like. — 8 months ago

Heron Lake Vineyard Chardonnay 2018

Doesn’t bowl you over with concentration but Enfield is all about subtlety and balance. Green apple, pear, slightly bitter lemon finish, not a whiff of butter or vanilla or toast in sight — 3 years ago

Primitivo di Manduria 2019

Drank with Humbolt Co turkey sandwiches from Cherry St Kitchen on picnic at Blue Hole Park near Lake Hudson. Excellent rose and pairing. Wine was a gift from dad from Easton, MD. One of the best roses I’ve had. Best with food. — 4 years ago

v14. Delicious! Dried herb nose. Rich, deep, black cherry and plum fruit. Velvety smooth, long, slightly tight, mocha and leather finish. — 2 years ago

Fox Hill Vineyard Sangiovese Friulano 2019

Fruit juicy co-fermentation...85% Sangiovese 15% Fruilano. Early heat wave at Michigan Lake house... slight chill, tempted to break out the ice cubes. Tannic grip on finish, strawberry/fruit punch aromas... nice bright acidity. Very unusual, but fun... can imagine this as a yummy slushee. — 3 years ago

Lake County Sparkling Zinfandel

Sparkles! Fruit! But also herbs and savory fruit pie were there such a thing. Enjoyed sporting pigtails because one must venture outside the box, time to time. — 4 years ago
