This wine won the Trophy for Best Aged Vintage Red at the 2012 Sydney Royal Wine Show. Can't see it myself. Some hints of camphor/menthol and earthy nuances typical of Clare Cab Sauv. Youthful still at 10 years and Full bodied. A good wine but no Trophy. An improved showing 118 weeks later on 30 April 2018. A full bodied Clare Valley Cabernet where the black currant and other black fruits take over the leafy Cabernet Notes. — 10 years ago

Rich and sumptuous - profound concentrated flavour and intensity with low fizz after 20 years. Black fruits and dark chocolate soft fluid tannins. Delicious can be an overused descriptor but this is the most appropriate word. Sparkling Shiraz is an Australian specialty and this is a good example. From a renowned Shiraz district as in the Clare Valley. — a year ago
