Kick On Ranch is just a few miles West of Los Alamos (CA) , getting close to the ocean and Vandenberg Air Force Base. 120 cases. 13.5%. Plenty of acidity, 🍯 , botyris? , fresh cut garden hose. Quite herbal. Oregano. Tatomer’s top of the line offer. He learned the trade in Austria 🇦🇹, Wachau region. This 2019 is very very good. The Los Ricos Vineyard is a steep one acre block at the southwestern corner of the property. An ancient, dry-farmed prune orchard grew on the site when we came to the ranch in 1955. In 1997 we removed the remaining prune trees and replanted the field to Cabernet Sauvignon, using Clone 337 on 110R rootstock. The block extends from approximately 625 to 675 feet of elevation. The surface is east-facing at a grade of almost 20%, which means the vineyard receives significantly more morning sun and less afternoon sun than the other vineyards on the property. The soils are predominantly volcanic Rhyolite. — 2 years ago
