Excellent gin from outside Tucson. — 5 years ago
Katun, Batch No. 54. Distilled with molasses, barrel aged. Made in small lots at a micro distillery. Coco nutty, grassy and buttery nose. Strong, clean, no fake flavors. Spice in mouth, dry, but no added natural or artificial anything. I drink it neat in a snifter or added to my daily coffee. Yes, I’d rather be drinking wine or hard cider, but if I’m going to do craft distilled beverages, this is a quality choice. — 5 years ago

A multiple tasting of global brown spirits, but dinner of enchiladas with locally sourced ingredients was perfectly paired to the ultimate of Green Chile vodka from none other than St. George's (Alameda, CA).
Happy 2022>2023 Delectable Family.
I was lucky enough to land one of the current COVID variants during my Holiday break, yet 'luck' is one word for the situation. Fortunately symptoms were mild but my palate is twisted, so hopefully 2023 brings a reset. — 2 years ago

Made by a small scale Seattle distillery, flavored with Theo Chocolate cacao nibs. It’s a crème de cacao, a liqueur, a cordial. Clear, smells like grappa or maybe really weak or diluted moutai, so slightly aldehydic nose. Medium sweetness, probably sucrose, pleasant mouthfeel. Very nice flavor, the quality cacao nib profile shows. Some may be put off by the nose, but my partner and I found it highly sippable. Paired well with red pear slices and a homemade cocoa-dusted flourless almond cake with almond yogurt. — 5 years ago

I know, I KNOW! Even The Dude would approve, or maybe especially him. It tastes exactly how you want. Creamy but not cloying. A little coffee-y and sweet but not saccharine, especially if you pour over ice. Exceptional. A canned cocktail standard bearer. I mean, unless you don’t like coffee or cream, then all hope is lost. — 5 months ago
