One of three new wines from Clos Sainte Magdeleine. Oh my. Nothing in the world like standing in that vineyard, then tasting their lineup, then going for a swim in that cove afterward. What a day. — 5 years ago
Delicious. From #languedoc area so warmer climate riper fruit. Reminiscent of Californian #pinot #pinotnoir — a year ago
The nose is a delight of cassis, blueberry & blackberry as well. For being a 2010 I was worried how this would behave- but there’s no worry here. 2010 was a legendary vintage all throughout Bordeaux- and this inexpensive little number is proof of the point. It’s in its prime, and costs a dime for every dollar one would consider spending on more recognizable labels. Yea. I’ve given the matter a lot of thought, and the 2010 Château Magdeleine Bouhou is my 2020, Poor Man’s Cheeseburger Wine of The Year.

Delicious. Mineral. White flowers. A bit of salinity. Drinking it en France with my sister makes it all the more special. — a month ago
