Had at Heidis. VERY good.
Easy, full mouth but not heavy body, raspberry/cherry. Would be good with prosciutto and cheese, light food — 8 months ago
This is gorgeous. A soft edged nose with red and black cherry, dried roses. On the palate this is gorgeous and soft. The fruit is delicate and focused. Tobacco and soft wood notes come through later in the midpalate. Very classy and in great shape right now. — 4 years ago

More crappy wineThis pours a thin tawny brown colour, dirty cherry, almost transparent, bordering on orange on the rim. A floral red fruited nose. Palate is just medium weight with mulchy strawberry flavours of medium plus intensity. Finishes dry with great length. Very impressive. See previous note from August 2024. — 6 months ago
1996 | Nebbiolo
Cantina Vignaioli; Vigneto Marcarini
Piedmont - Barbaresco; Elvio Pertinance, Treiso, Italy
Decanted +6H. Paired alongside a slow cooked Bolognese sauce over Pappardelle. Merry Christmas 2022 to everyone. 🎄
Deep ruby, fading at edges. Nose has elegant blackberry mash, chocolate mint; Palate has ripe cherry, dried tart cherry, medium drying tannins. Drink future bottles 2027+. — 3 years ago
Still youthfully dark in color with a very slight browning on rim. Upon opening still very tight and shy on nose. Decided to decant this for 3.5h prior our Christmas dinner and it started to open around 3h mark. Then it was a great Barbaresco from Treiso offering slightly darker side of Nebbiolo expression with ripe cherry, some leather and smoke, fine pepper notes. Healthy acidity and fine tannins offers solid back bone for further aging and development. I take this is 2-3 years from peak and should continue to drink several years after that. Glad I have 2 more bottles. This was a fabulous qpr back then at 23€/bottle — 5 years ago
Catsup and barbecue sauce on grilled chicken; heavy on the ginger and bursting with peppermint, allspice and peppercorn. Old one here, with brick red looks. Mint tea, gingerbread, ginseng, bay, violet extract, and ribbons of blood orange and clove, tell-tale tar, gum Arabic, and spiced tea cinnamon, orange, and nutmeg. Tastes like the season for every reason! #marcarini #marcarinichinato #chinato #vinoaromatizzato #piemonte #piedmont #chinchonacalisaya #lamorra #italianwine #seasonal #seasonalwine — 5 years ago
Light in color and a little faded. Pretty soft fruit with dried flowers, soft dried cherry and wood. Relatively tight and drying on the finish. — 7 years ago
