Poli distillery €37. Amazing Grappa. — 5 months ago
Ghemme is my sentimental favorite of the Novarese DOCs. I had a really good one when I was in my last year of college and starting my wine journey. It generally is one of the heavier and, sometimes, earthier of the group. This one is very good. Still youthful, it takes time to open up, but slowly reveals dark cherry, mahogany furniture, crushed minerally gravel, and roasted meat scents. Medium full, it’s got concentrated and tight dark cherry fruit, very fine-grained but abundantly chalky tannins, and very nice acidity. No rush to drink this. Enjoy over the next 4-5 years, maybe longer. — 2 years ago

Super fragrant perfumed blossomed. Detectable grape. Very mellow. Delicious. — a year ago

Pleasant. Lively acidity, citrus. Not sure why the reviews are not favorable. $16, folks. — 3 months ago
