This was really something. From vines planted by Steve Kistler 30 years ago in northern Sonoma coast and near some other heavy hitting sites. Manages the neat trick of intensity without heaviness. Redolent of small berries and ocean breeze, bursting with black cherry, strawberry and rhubarb, dried flowers and spice with a whole cluster herbal quality. Was a little afraid I’d jumped the gun but nah this is ready — 6 years ago

Garnet in the glass with cherries, orange rind, and licorice on the nose - the palate delivers gobs of red fruit and is quite viscous for a Pinot - this was really lovely. — 7 years ago
